Miriam + Sergio // Wedding at Hidden Oaks Retreat Center // Rancho Cucamonga, California

My first wedding of 2021 was absolutely beautiful! From the couple to the service, from the venue to the love that each family shared… This whole day was beautiful.

When I initially spoke with the bride, Miriam, on the phone to prepare for her wedding, the main thing she told me was that she wanted their love for God and the Scriptures to be the focus of the wedding and to be captured throughout their photos. This was so evident all throughout the day. Their love is centered on Christ. And how inspiring that God-centered love is.

During their ceremony, Miriam & Sergio led the guests into a time of worship. Then they shared in special acts that represent the two becoming one, like the braiding of the cord of three strands that is described in Ecclesiastes 4:12 and the lighting of candles. Their pastors also led the group in communion, which starts their marriage with a focus on the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for us.

The reception was just so sweet as well. Many loved ones shared words of love and wisdom for the couple. Also, one of their favorite foods they share as a couple are crepes, so they had a crepe truck at the reception! What an awesome way to celebrate your big day!
